Our Unique Production ProcessOur wok is unique as we employ the traditional wok-making method. In hours of deafening hammering and intense heat, a carbon steel disc undergoes constant rotation and hammering by the skillful hands of our wok craftsmen. The structure of the metal is gradually changed, giving it greater strength and durability.
The Reason for a WokThe round bottom shape of a wok is the original design that has existed for two thousand years. The semi-spherical curve of the work offers maximum cooking surface and minimal fuel contact. The concave shape makes stirring easy as ingredients can be partially placed up on the sides without spilling. It is also ideal for deep-frying with minimum amounts of oil.
With proper care, a wok provides a natural non-stick surface and requires less oil for cooking. Carbon steel conducts heat efficiently. The wok heats up and cools down quickly and provides the cook with the maximum control over the fire.
